Why Did Prophet Muhammad PBUH married a child (Aisha RA.)?

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. 

Last night I was talking with a non-muslim who lives in Nagaland, India.
He asked me how can prophet Muhammad PBUH. married a child (Aisha RA.)?

As we know nowadays children marriage is unacceptable for the majority of people. Therefore his bemusement has trapped me in silence. The links below I am sharing have been found to give explanations. Whether because I am a Muslim that the answers from the Islamic scholars are logical for me. What if I send it to him, will he can easily accept or denying with other arguments. Regardless of being worried about it, I am happy to get the answers and my negative thought about Prophet Muhammad [pbuh] has been cleaned.

So firstly, before you are get checking the links, as opening information, a marriage of Muhammad [pbuh] to Aisha is commanded by Allah through a dream. If we are questioning what kind of revelation by Allah was that, only Allah knows the best answer. The same as when Prophet Abraham [pbuh] had a dream in which he saw himself slaughtering his son Prophet Ishmael [pbuh], only Allah knows the best answer. And alhamdulillah, every single thing that comes from Allah is the best because we are Allah’s creation.
